A sailing intermezzo

I know, this has little to do with my shop or my items, but for those of you who like sailing, or just like to see beautifully crafted things, the Boat Show going on at Tradewinds Yacht Club might just be it.

This is a small bird’s eye view of the terrain, some of the larger boats tower over the entire area. Note the 2 huge multihull ships to the right.

This is a 1:1 scaled replication of the famous J-Class sloop ‘Endeavour’. Clay Ellison built it for in Second Life. ‘Endeavour’ was built on commission of T.O.M. Sopwith, the famous WWI aircraft manufacturer for the 1934 America’s Cup. This classic looking boat indeed used aircraft technology and is one of the most famous racing boats of the 20th century.

Countdown to Halloween – The Adelebsen Fall Market
